From Dublin to Toronto
Ryan fell in love with hair in 2013, the moment he started a part-time assisting job in a salon. He knew instantly he'd found where he belonged. In 2018, he moved from Dublin to Toronto to grow his career and his education, and found a city whose mix of culture, art, and new perspectives changed how he saw the world, and himself.
More than 12 years in, he has learned from some of the world's best hairstylists and built his reputation on three signatures: high-impact blondes, rich dimensional brunettes, and lived-in blends that grow out beautifully. Every service starts with a thoughtful consultation, where he considers your skin tone, your routine, and the long-term plan for your hair.
In 2024, Ryan went independent and entered a new era of his career, with more freedom, more autonomy, and a renewed passion for what he does. At Private Studio, his chair is one of the liveliest in the room: music playing, conversation flowing, and colour that stops people mid-scroll. Beyond his own clients, he shares his knowledge through education for fellow stylists and collaborations with brands.

Ryan is a music lover, so don't be surprised if "What are you listening to right now?" comes up during your appointment. He can talk for hours about pop culture, celebrities, and what's great on TV, and he loves to travel, eat well, and find a good glass of wine. Recommendations are always welcome. On a sunny day, you'll find him on the nearest patio.
